Underground Cable
(Jelly Filled)
Jelly filled Underground Cables are used for distribution and long distance networks. These cables are usually installed by direct burial in ground. These cables support the Primary and Secondary Copper networks of a given network carrier. There are two types of Underground Cables: Light Armoured and Protected. These cables have excellent mechanical performance. The conductor diameter used is 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm or 0.9 mm and the cable is constructed in sizes of 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300, 600 and 1200 pairs (among others).
02
Self Supporting Aerial Cable
Self Supporting Aerial Cable is used for aerial installation from the exchange. This cable employs the use of a support member (messenger wire) to prevent cable sag when laid aerially. This cable comprises of High Density Polyethylene coated Copper conductors of diameter 0.5 mm, 0.6mm or 0.9mm and in sizes of 5, 10, 30, 50 and 100 pairs. The core is wrapped by Polyester tape and electrically shielded by an Aluminium Shield and covered by a Polyethylene Sheath.
03
Single Pair Improved Field Cable
Improved Field Cable supports data communications (using Tactical Data Link) over long distance in the field. This is a portable cable and can is easy to lay and rollback in field environments. A pair of solid polyethylene insulated copper conductors are protected with Polyester Tape, Aluminium Shield and Polyethylene Sheath.
04
Two Pair Improved Field Cable
Two Improved Field Cable supports data communications (using Tactical Data Link) over long distance in field environments where commercial network in not available. This cable has two components: cable core and a support member (messenger). The parallel configuration of the messenger and cable core creates a cross-sectional area resembling figure 8. The messenger provides a solid support and eliminates the problem of cable sagging. Two pairs of solid polyethylene insulated copper conductors are protected with Polyester Tape, Aluminium Shield and Polyethylene Sheath.
05
Lead-in Cable
Lead-in Cable is used between the last distribution point and the subscriber’s premises. One end of the cable is connected to the subscriber’s property while the other is fed from the network. This is a two pair cable with Aluminium Armouring laid between inner and outer jacket.
06
PVC Cable
PVC cables are installed indoors and are used for the interconnection of telephone equipment. These cables may also be used for the interconnection of other communication and control equipment or low level signalling applications. This cable has a solid polyethylene insulation, Aluminium Shield and PVC Sheath, with copper conductor diameter of 0.5 mm or 0.6 mm and in sizes of 2, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 50 pairs.
07
Drop Wire
The Drop Wire is used for aerial installation from distribution box (DP) to the terminal box in the customer’s premises. Two conductors forming a pair running in parallel are insulated with weather resistant, black, high density polyethylene (HDPE). The structure of the cable provides good signal quality, strength and durability.
08
Twisted Pair Drop Wire
The Twisted Pair Drop Wire is used for the connection between distribution box(DP) and the customer’s premises for the Broadband application. This cable is lightweight, easy to deploy and provides high quality broadband internet connection. Two conductors forming a pair are twisted together and insulated with weather resistant, black, high density polyethylene (HDPE). A messenger wire is built into the cable for support for aerial installation. This cable may be manufactured with a single pair of conductors or two pairs.
09
Jumper Wire
A Jumper Wire is a connection cable, used for outdoor service wire to the subscriber’s premises. Two Copper coated steel wires are twisted together with a PVC insulation.
